Basket weaving, Kunawarritji campus.

Bugaii, a Kunawarritji elder, along with Allie from Martumili showed the students how to weave baskets. The first afternoon we went out and collected the grass with help from the rangers.

We spent the next afternoon in the Martumili shed and had a great time learning how to make the baskets. We had a lot of help from Melissa, Adeline, Imelda, Desray and Annabelle.

We even used some old tins and enamel cups and have woven baskets onto them.
