TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

Kunawarritji Campus

Primary Teacher, Team Teaching position, 

  • Primary Teacher (PP - 6)

  • Secondary Teacher (Y7-12) â€“ 6 month-long service leave position.

  • Non-teaching multifaceted role (cleaning, cooking, maintenance, logistics) â€“ 6 month-long service leave position.

Punmu Campus:

  • Early Childhood Teacher (YK-2)

  • Primary Teacher (Y3-6)

  • Non-teaching multifaceted role (cleaning, cooking, maintenance, logistics)

Rawa Community School has opportunities for various teaching and non-teaching roles. Are you ready to join the team of dedicated teachers in delivering high-quality education to the students of Kunawarritji or Punmu communities? 

Both campuses cater for students at all levels of schooling.  The positions work closely with other staff and local Martu Language Teachers in a team teaching capacity. 

These communities are situated in the far East Pilbara. The traditional culture and language in both Punmu and Kunawarritji communities are strong, and the school works closely with community members to deliver a two-way program that is engaging and responsive to students. An openness to learn about the local Martu culture is important for the right candidate, and a willingness to work with the community is a must. 

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with a community that still recalls first contact with Western society!

The successful candidate will be:

  • Registered with TRBWA, or have the ability to obtain registration

  • Able to work effectively in a team

  • Eager to plan and deliver integrated programs that are culturally relevant and engaging.

  • Creative, flexible and take initiative in our context.

  • Possess a valid Working With Children check.
